Creativity, Action and Service: Level Upgrade

This year is very important in terms of CAS program. Besides academic achievements, individual should be multi-skilled, sportive and open-minded for new experiences. The program provides an opportunity for students to be socially active, show their commitment and dedication to things they do and gain precious experience and skills in variety of fields such as art, drama, athletics, music and service.
Therefore, my goals are to keep working hard and developing new skills and contribute to the local community by doing service .
Regarding creativity, I'm planning to audition and take part in the upcoming musical Bugsy Malone, join the event crew to help organization of the Boys' Basketball SAISA 2016 and take part in the concerts which will be held this year at our school either as a backstage support or a performer. Moreover, I am planning to continue attending private instrumental guitar lessons if it will be possible to fit them in my schedule. I may try myself in some other provided activities which would be a great opportunity to learn something new.
I am planning to actively participate in the sport life of the school joining different teams. Unfortunately, this academic year I am not able to participate in SAISA tournaments due to some personal circumstances. However, I am planning to attend practice sessions in order to develop my skills and stay fit.
Concerning service, most likely I will join the same service as the last year, the SOS Village. I enjoyed a lot spending time with the children, learning them and learning from them something new. It was a great pleasure for me to contribute even a small part to their well-being and development by being committed and dedicated. However, I may consider other service groups connected to the health care in order to enlarge my chances to get the scholarship for colleges oriented on medical studies.

CAS Final Reflection: Lessons Learned The Creativity, Action and Service (CAS) program was an important part of my IB journey. It ensured the balance between physical and mental activity, motivated me to develop new skills and escalated my confidence. The reflections posted in this blog as a part of the program helped me to track the progress and fully understand and recognize the accomplishments and achievements I have made.  In the beginning of each year I posted a set of goals I would like to achieve. OSC’s Got Talent! In the middle of February during the evening before Saint Valentine’s Day, I have been participating in the school’s talent show annually organized by Student Government Association in order to bring the entire school together once again, have a memorable and fun time and, of course, raise funds for school’s prompt evening. Despite organization and preparation of the event did not seem efficient in the beginning, on the night everything was well-organized and quite professional. We have gotten the judges who were teachers with different qualifications and backgrounds which brought some diversity and multiple perspectives making the final decision more reliable.
