MUSIC MAKERS: Welcome to the Wonderland of talents On 29th of April in the auditorium of Overseas School of Colombo the second largest event after the Gala Concert was held. The name of the event, Music Makers, makes it clear that the event was about the music. Many musically gifted students, teachers and guest performers were involved in this fabulous concert. The concert was organized and led by Head of the Arts department of OSC Mrs. Duncan. She was really passionate about it and literally charged all the participators including me with her drive. Likewise my previous performances I performed with the Girl's Voice group and my rock band The Sweet Chains.   This time our band performance was in the very beginning of the concert because of what I was very nervous. We usually performed in the second half of the concert after I've sung couple of songs with the Voice and have been sort of warmed up. However, during the Music Makers I had to warm up with my solo. WELCOME TO SOS VILLAGE  On the 9th of April before going on the vacations our service group visited SOS Village, the home of children with whom we work. Even though some of the students were there before it was my first time. I wondered and simultaneously was happy to see the level and the conditions which were provided there. I expected something like that but it surprised me anyway. Probably because all the orphanages I saw before SOS Village were absolutely different and I became biased to some extent.  The buildings at SOS were of a beautiful design and tidy. The thing that I remembered well was that there were a lot of trees and other vegetation. Unfortunately, I did not see the whole construction as I decided to stay and play with the children. When we arrived children were on the field. We divided into two teams, adults versus children, to play cricket. That was absolutely new for me and it was great! I have never played cricket before.
